15th April | Shilpi Chowdhary to Lead Conversations on AI and Digital Assets at FT Live PWM Summit Asia 2026

Shilpi Chowdhary, Group CEO of Lighthouse Canton, will take centre stage at the Wealth Management Summit Asia 2026, hosted by the Financial Times in partnership with Professional Wealth Management (PWM) and Ocorian. The summit, held 15–16 April at PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay, Singapore, brings together leading voices from private banking and wealth management under the theme Safeguarding private clients in a disrupted world.

Shilpi will participate in two key industry conversations addressing how wealth managers can harness innovation responsibly while safeguarding clients in an increasingly complex environment.

Shilpi Chowdhary leads discussions on AI and digital assets at FT Live PWM Summit Asia 2026.

Session 1: Breakfast Roundtable | Building Capabilities in a Maturing Crypto Market

Time: 07:45–09:00 SGT
Format: Sit-down breakfast roundtable

The roundtable will examine how cryptocurrencies and stablecoins are behaving against the backdrop of geopolitical uncertainty, and how wealth managers are incorporating digital assets into client portfolios and structures — including the most compelling use cases for asset tokenisation. Discussions will also cover how advisers are navigating cross-border regulatory complexity, how institutions can safeguard clients while embracing technological innovation, and the key considerations for firms exploring digital asset infrastructure partnerships and managing counterparty risk.

Session 2: Panel Discussion | Which AI Use Cases Are Really Delivering Value for Wealth Management Clients?

While AI attracts significant capital and boardroom attention, the gap between hype and reality remains substantial. Private banks are exploring diverse AI applications—from client segmentation and marketing to investment analysis and compliance automation—yet not all deliver measurable returns.

This panel brings together senior wealth management leaders to examine which AI implementations are generating genuine value for clients and operations, how firms are building AI literacy while maintaining safeguards against misuse, and strategies for deciding whether to build in-house solutions or partner with third-party technology providers. The discussion will address how banks are communicating technology to clients responsibly and what governance frameworks are necessary for responsible deployment at scale.

Discussion Points:

  • Which AI applications are delivering tangible value for relationship managers, and how are banks articulating their use of technology to clients?
  • How are private banks developing AI literacy across the business, and what safeguards are necessary to avoid misuse?
  • How are firms deciding when to build in-house solutions and where to outsource to third-party tech providers?

Panellists:

  • Shilpi Chowdhary, Group CEO, Lighthouse Canton
  • Jonathan Chan, Head Innovation Ventures, Julius Baer
  • Ruby Chong, Market Head Wealth Management Singapore, Bank of East Asia
  • Mrs. Celine Le Cotonnec, Chief Data and Innovation Officer, Bank of Singapore

Moderator:

  • June Yoon, Asia Lex Editor, Financial Times
