According to a recent article by Outlook India, India's GDP grew 20.1% year-on-year from the previous financial year, despite contracting 24.4% in FY21 due to nationwide and localized lockdowns.

Even with global market volatility in the last quarter, India's GDP forecast for 2023 was only slightly downgraded by 0.6% by the International Monetary Fund to 6.8%. While other agencies are also still painting an optimistic picture at 7% or lower.
