Lighthouse Canton Appoints Angela Saik as Managing Director, Wealth Management to Accelerate Southeast Asia Expansion

Lighthouse Canton, a global investment institution with over USD 5 billion in assets under management has appointed Angela Saik as Managing Director, Wealth Management in Singapore as the organisation accelerates its expansion across Southeast Asia. The appointment is part of a focused strategy to deepen the organisation's footprint across the region, extending its reach into new markets including Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Brunei.

Angela joins with more than two decades of experience advising private wealth clients across Asia, having held senior roles at Royal Bank of Canada, Pictet Wealth Management and DBS Private Bank. Over the course of her career, she has built a reputation as a trusted advisor to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families, guiding them through investment, succession and wealth structuring decisions across changing market cycles.

She joins Lighthouse Canton at a defining moment in its growth, as the organisation expands its platform to meet rising client demand for institutional-grade, independent wealth solutions. Southeast Asia is projected to grow at 4.3% in 2026, ahead of global growth of 3.1%, according to the IMF, and the region's rising pool of private wealth is where Lighthouse Canton sees a clear opportunity to broaden its presence and serve clients across their long-term wealth journey. With a target of doubling assets under management to USD 10 billion by 2027, Southeast Asia is set to play a pivotal role in the organisation's next chapter, and investing in senior leaders of Angela's calibre reflects a clear commitment to scaling with the right talent in place to deliver on that ambition.

In her role, Angela will focus on originating new client relationships across Southeast Asia and strengthening her team with senior hires as the organisation scales its advisory presence in the region. She will deliver tailored wealth advisory solutions shaped around individual circumstances, family priorities and intergenerational objectives.

Commenting on her appointment, Angela Saik, Managing Director, Wealth Management, Lighthouse Canton, said, “Southeast Asia is at the start of one of the most significant intergenerational wealth transitions the region has seen, and the families I have worked with for over two decades are asking fundamentally different questions today. The conversations are no longer only about what to invest in. They are about succession, cross-border structuring, how wealth holds together across generations, and what it should ultimately stand for. Lighthouse Canton's independent platform is built precisely for that conversation, and the institutional depth here, across investments, advisory and cross-border capability, is rare in this segment of the market. My focus over the coming years will be to grow our client base across Southeast Asia, including in markets such as Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines where the demand for institutional, independent counsel is rising sharply."

Fluent in English, Mandarin, Bahasa Melayu, Cantonese and Hokkien, Angela's linguistic range positions her to engage with clients across Southeast Asia.

Welcoming Angela to the team, Shilpi Chowdhary, Group CEO, Lighthouse Canton, said, "Lighthouse Canton is in a phase of structured global expansion, and we are investing in senior leaders who can drive growth across each of our core markets. Over the past year, we have strengthened our teams across Southeast and North Asia, Dubai, India and London with leaders of significant calibre, and Angela's appointment now anchors that same ambition for Southeast Asia. She brings two decades of advisory experience, trusted client relationships across the region, and the cultural and linguistic range to engage families from Jakarta to Manila. With her joining Charlene, Stella and Vijay, we have a team whose combined experience and client trust across Asia gives me real confidence in what we can build together in the years ahead."

Her appointment builds on Lighthouse Canton's strategic global expansion. In November 2025 Lighthouse Canton announced it successfully raised USD 40 million in a funding round led by Peak XV Partners, with participation from Nextinfinity and Qatar Insurance Company. The organisation's first external fundraise in its decade-long history, the capital is being deployed to strengthen the balance sheet, strengthen alternative investment capabilities and accelerate geographic reach.

It has made several senior appointments across the global wealth management business. Angela joins Charlene Lin, Managing Director, Strategic Growth (North Asia and Southeast Asia); Stella Lau, Managing Director, Wealth Management Greater China and Vijay Bhatia, Managing Director, Wealth Management who together lead the Asia teams. The organisation also recently appointed Michael Darriba as Managing Director, Key Clients and Institutions in Dubai; Abhay Laijawala as Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer for India; Gurjeet Sohi as Managing Director and Head of Wealth Management for India; and Muffazal Arsiwalla as Managing Director and Head of Capital Solutions and Advisory for India, alongside continued build-outs across North Asia, The Middle East and Europe.

In April 2026, Lighthouse Canton also entered a strategic partnership with Taiwan-based investment institution Draco Evolution, accelerating its push into North Asia's wealth corridor.

Lighthouse Canton is an independent global investment institution enhancing cross-border capital flows between Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. Headquartered in Singapore with offices in Dubai, India, and London, it serves ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, founders, and institutional investors through an integrated platform spanning wealth management, asset management, and advisory and capital solutions.
