Is this India's decade? Despite global market dislocations and challenging market conditions, India's outlook looks relatively cheerier than most economies. Its GDP forecast for 2023 was only slightly downgraded by 0.6% by the International Monetary Fund to 6.8%. While other agencies are also still painting an optimistic picture at 7% or lower.

Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) have since started to shift their attention to India's markets. Just last month Asian Investor reported on how Canadian pension funds are making India a priority target, and according to reports, FIIs have invested US$5.81b into Indian shares in the September quarter, the highest since the quarter ended March 2021.
